September 7: Native Herbal Plant Walk

Learn about the historic medicinal uses of these plants, as well as their importance in the local ecosystem in the Vallejo People's Garden. This garden hosts a number of native Californian plants used by native herbalists. Feel, touch, and engage with native plants in your own backyard.

This class will be lead by James "Jim" Adams. Jim has a PhD in Pharmacology from UC San Francisco. He taught at the University of Southern California for 33 years. He studied for 14 years with a Chumash Indian Healer and wrote a book with her, "Healing with Medicinal Plants of the West".
