Mare Island Spirit Ship Celebration looks to light up the sky

Mare Island has always been known for its ships, but for the Fourth of July, people will be looking to the sky to get a good glimpse of them.
The Mare Island Spirit Ship Celebration is returning for the second year in a row on Mare Island, offering a family-friendly evening and “edutaining” experience while a unique drone exhibition honors the many ships built at this historic naval shipyard.
