Creativity comes full circle at Makers Faire

Creativity had its past, present and future on display for the second straight weekend on Mare Island.

The Makers Faire made its return on Saturday, and once again thousands of people of all ages — some dressed for the occasion — came to witness, observe and even create themselves at the internationally renowned creator’s expo. There were contraptions, devices, displays and vehicles, each with enough inherent imagination to make Tim Burton, Willy Wonka and Benjamin Franklin jealous. This is the first time the event has come to Vallejo after taking a three-year hiatus for the pandemic and previously being held at a number of locations, including San Mateo.
